Get started with Ridez

Your first hour: make the app yours, then run one test trip from request to settled. Each step names the menu item to open.

On a trial? Your app came with sample vehicles, rates, chauffeurs, trips and tickets, and you are in it as a customer and a chauffeur. While sandbox mode is on, every email and text the app sends comes to you instead, marked with who it would have gone to. Try anything; nothing reaches a real customer.

1Sign in and change your password

  1. Open your address, yourcompany.ridez.io, from the welcome email and sign in with the email and password in it.
  2. Open your name at the top right, then Settings, and use Change password.

Bookmark the address on your phone too. Everything works at phone width, and your team will use it there.

2Add your name, logo and colours

Customers see this on every email, pay page, contract and confirmation.

  1. Go to Admin → System Settings.
  2. In Operator profile, fill in your company name, phone, customer email, website and licence line, and upload your logos.
  3. In Portal colours, pick your colours. The app and your customers' pages switch to them.

3Set your vehicles and rates

Prices come from these tables, so quotes match what you would charge by hand.

  1. Go to Quoting → Pricing.
  2. On Vehicles, keep, edit or remove the sample classes, and pick how each one prices a point-to-point trip: by distance, hourly, by zone or a flat rate.
  3. Fill in the Hourly sheet (rate and minimum hours) and By distance (per-mile tiers) for each class you run.
  4. Check Rules for gratuity, extra stops, card fees and other charges.
  5. Use Try a price to quote a trip you know and compare it with what you would charge.

Your actual cars, with plates and service dates, go in Fleet → Fleet Management. That is separate from the price classes.

4Add your chauffeurs

  1. Go to Fleet → Drivers.
  2. Add each chauffeur with a mobile number. That number is where their trip texts and their link to the driver app go.

5Book yourself a trip

  1. Go to Overview → Reservations and click New reservation, or price one first in Quoting → Quote Generator.
  2. Use yourself as the customer, with a pickup a day or two out.
  3. On the reservation's page, click Send confirmation. Read what your customer would get: your logo, your terms, the price.
  4. Send a Pay link if you take cards, and open it the way a customer would.

The trip now shows on Calendar, where your office will live day to day.

6Run the trip and settle it

  1. Go to Overview → Dispatch, open the trip with Edit / assign and pick a chauffeur. Pick yourself to see what they get.
  2. Open the driver app from the text, accept the trip and step through its statuses. Each one updates Dispatch as it happens.
  3. Back on the reservation, settle the trip: final hours, extras and the charge.

7Answer a request in the Help Desk

  1. Go to Overview → Help Desk. Trial accounts have two sample requests waiting.
  2. Open one, price the trip with Quoting → Quote Generator, and reply from the ticket.
  3. When the customer says yes, turn it into a reservation.
